How Long Does It Take For a Google Reinclusion Request?

As mentioned on the 20th, PocketSEO.com was hacked and penalized by Google. I submitted a reinclusion request the same day that I discovered the problem.

Today is the first day that the site is coming back in Google’s rankings (8 days). I don’t think that Google has followed up on the reinclusion request. I think that Google has just finally re-spidered the hacked pages that were covered with porn before, but are now clean.

A few days ago, doing a Google search for pocketseo wouldn’t bring up this site at all. Now pocketseo.com is back at #1:

I’ve only gotten a partial return of my rankings though, because I am at #97 for a search for “metapredict” when I used to be #1:

I can tell that Google has spidered the cleaned-up versions of my pages because the pages are now cached. Before I was hacked, I had a noarchive meta tag on the site.

I haven’t gotten any word back from Google on my reinclusion request, but at least this site is starting to recover in the rankings…

Hi Josh, I experienced that too, as I’d left blog with the very old version of wordpress without bothering to upgrade. And then I got many spam links (viagra, and sex stuff etc) at the bottom of my page, suspected could be due to a wordpress plugin that caused it.

That caused my latest blog posts didn’t get into Google for about 2 weeks, which I usually got it on Google about 10-20 mins after posting. I was thinking Google spider could have worked little slow.

And only after 2 weeks I noticed the spam links at the bottom. But after upgrading and removing a couple of wp plugins, then the spam links were gone. Then only my blog got back to normal, every post gets into Google very soon

Thanks for stopping by. I think a lot of blogs are getting hacked lately.

My blog has almost recovered. I’ve just started to get traffic back from Google, though at slightly lower rankings than before.

There are still 4 pages in Google’s index with explicit porn keywords so I hope that this site will be back to normal once those pages get re-spidered…
